Alex was right, again

I love Vienna and I will be dreaming about returning until we can come again. Today is our last full day in the city and it’s so much more than I could have dreamed. The culture, the people, the beauty. I don’t want to leave! Our last day before Venice (less kid friendly) we are spending some time at the kinder museum, trekking to Alex’s old apartment, and getting some last minute shopping in before we leave.

But first, a pre-breakfast stroll.

Our faces say jet lag Europe vacay with a toddler.
This is Alex’s student housing! So many years ago I would call him first thing in the morning when I woke up from my tiny dorm room in Hartford while he was here. We had only been dating for 3 months when he left for Vienna.
Kids are considered really in everything in Vienna. Everyone greets them with a smile. It’s really beautiful.
Cafe Central closed for renovations while we’re here so we are trekking through an Easter market to Cafe Landtmann next!
These are called buchteln and they are fluffy and full of apricot jam. Literal heaven on earth.
Leonel was too excited for the Viennese sausage to get a pic before he dug in.
Who would be caught in this height of fashion?
