Accoglienza

We’ve landed in Venice and I’m so overwhelmed. We couldn’t have chosen a more different city from Vienna as our second location. There was a lot more content for us to consume about Venice before we arrived so everything looks as expected, but we were not prepared for the vibes! Venice is bustling. There is a reason Italy is… well Italy. Romantic, loud, historic (there are not enough plaques in the world to educate me), flashy, musical, beautiful but in a tragic way…

The taxi from the airport to the hotel was a luxurious treat. We felt like movie stars.
Said taxi
Immediately jumped on a gondola because it’s supposed to rain tomorrow and the weather was perfect when we landed.
One water taxi to Harry’s Bar please
This may just look like a plate of pasta but it wasn’t. It was so much more. This was our first dinner reservation and we didn’t know that you needed cash to tip. It was a comedy of errors getting out of this place but we did it just in time to make it to the second dinner reservation.
At the tiny Vini De Arturo (as seen on Somebody Feed Phil) we had our second meal of the evening where we also realized our son really misses his books.
The famous sweet and sour eggplant 🤤
Veal Scallopini Limone 🤤🤤🤤
